What a brilliant talk! I like the idea that depression is strongly associated with action directed towards the self and not the environment (concept that Dr. Paul talks about in many of his trainings).
And, it's reasonable to say that trauma often leads to depressive disorders by hijacking emotion regulation and its role in behavior, including decision making and action taking.
He mentioned he’d like to riff on that . at the end. I’d be interested in hearing what he has to say!
